Tara Trethewey, B.H.K., M.OT
Owner & Executive Director
After receiving her undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics, she completed a Master of Occupational Therapy at the University of British Columbia (UBC) and is now a UBC clinical faculty member.
Tara started her occupational therapy career working in community- and clinic-based vocational rehabilitation programs for clients with mental illness, orthopaedic injuries and chronic pain.
In 2015, Tara founded Evergreen Rehabilitation Services, a division of Evergreen Nursing Services to provide community Occupational Therapy services with a specialty in traumatic brain injury and mental health.
In October 2016, Tara transitioned from being the Director of Rehabilitation Services to Executive Director and is responsible for the business development, quality assurance and governance of both the Nursing and Rehabilitation Divisions.
For professional development in the area of palliative care, Tara has attended VCH’s Foundations Course and 4-hour Shift Care Nurse Orientation, and completed Victoria Hospice’s Palliative Care: Medical Intensive Course in January 2017.
Adhanet Ghebremedhin, RN
Director, Nursing Services
Adhanet Ghebremedhin is the full-time Director of Nursing Services with Evergreen Nursing.
After becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2004, Adhanet went on to complete a Bachelor of Nursing from the University of Victoria in 2010. Since 2004, Adhanet has dedicated her practice to palliative care nursing, completing numerous professional development courses including the Vancouver Island Health Authority’s Basic Hospice Program and Coagulation, Cholesterol Management and Wound Preparation Certifications.
Adhanet is a natural and passionate educator as evidenced by the outstanding feedback from RNs who attended Evergreen’s 4-hour orientation, and her performance as a Nurse Educator and curriculum consultant for LPNs and internationally trained nurses for the last 7 years.
Adhanet is currently registered to write the Hospice Palliative Care Nursing Certification exam and the Gerontological Nursing Certification exam on November 15, 2017. She has been an active member with CRNBC and the BC Hospice & Palliative Care Association since 2010. With over 14 years of experience working in palliative care, and 7 years experience as a clinical educator, Adhanet is an asset to the professional development and support of Evergreen’s palliative care team.

Charlette Rosales, HCA
Senior Administrator, On-Call Supervisor
Charlette joined Evergreen Nursing Services in June of 2016 as a full-time Administrator.
Charlette’s background as a Certified Care Aide has been an asset in her ability to communicate with our field staff and understand our client’s care needs.
In addition to being a Certified Care Aide with community experience, Charlette completed 2 years of an Accounting Diploma at Kwantlen Polytechnic University.
Charlette is also the lead On-Call Supervisor. Charlette’s experience, efficiency and exceptional performance has led to her recent promotion as the Senior Administrator with Evergreen. In this role, Charlette is responsible for maintaining customer accounts, invoicing and employee payroll.
Joy Abasta, HCA
Administrator, On-Call Supervisor
Joy started with Evergreen Nursing in August 2016 as a front-line Certified Care Aide.
Due to Joy’s exemplary communication and care aide skills demonstrated in the field, she was offered a promotion in March 2017 to become a full-time Administrator and part-time On-Call Supervisor in the office.
Joy completed a Bachelor of Nursing in 2009, a Masters of Nursing in 2011 and a Masters of Education with a Major in Business Administration in 2012 in the Philippines.
With over 1 year of experience as a Customer Services Representative in a call center, Joy brings exceptionally strong customer service skills to the administrative team.
Outside of work, Joy is passionate about research which is evident by her commitment as a volunteer with Simon Fraser University as a Research Assistant and as an Administrative Assistant with the West End Community Policing Center.
Nibeth Santa Maria, HCA
Administrator, On-Call Supervisor
In March 2017, Nibeth joined Evergreen Nursing with over 5 years of experience working as a Scheduling Coordinator for a large home health care company in Vancouver, BC.
She received her Care Aide certification in 2012, in addition to completing 1 year of Business Administration at Langara College.
With Nibeth’s Care Aide education and relevant work experience, she is an asset to the Evergreen team.
Glenn Perez, HCA
Administrator, On-Call Supervisor (Vacation Coverage)
Glenn joined the Evergreen Office team in September 2016, after providing outstanding services to our client as a Certified Care Aide in the community.
In 2009, Glenn obtained a Bachelor Degree in Science & Nursing in the Philippines and in 2016 became a Certified Care Aide through Douglas College in Canada.
Glenn is currently working as a part-time Administrator, as she is completing the International Educated Nursing Program through CRNBC.
Prior to coming to Canada, Glenn worked as an Emergency Responder for 4 years in Singapore for the main healthcare provider for the US Military in Asia.
Glenn’s education, experience and customer service skills allow her to provide exceptional service to our clients and their families.
